Welcome to this page which will introduce you to meteorite craters in general. 
We will then take you on a virtual field trip to the two known meteorite craters in India, where you will be able to examine the landcover features through high resolution satellite imagery.  You will also be able to see the terrain through anaglyphs and stereo images

For those not familiar with meteorite craters, their origin, and effects of meteorite impact, links have been provided to relevant resource on the www.

In order to make the best use of this site, it is suggested that you click on the top picture for an introduction to impact craters on earth and other planets.  The second picture will tale you straight to the field trip to Lonar and Ramgarh craters.

The third picture will take you to a links page where you can visit related sites for more information on impact craters on earth.
